My name is Jordin! I’m the one with her tongue sticking…
My name is Jordin! I’m the one with her tongue sticking out and I’m going to start off saying I’d never expect myself to be writing a MBE. I can start off lying and say I’ve been a fan since 2009, but I have honestly never been Justin’s biggest fan. Never owned a CD. Never hung up a poster. Nothing. But, I always have loved listening to his music and have known about him since he was on Youtube. It was November 14th and I was on Twitter when saw a tweet from a radio station near me. They were having a contest to meet Justin, get a limo ride to/from the show, and two concert tickets! I figured why not and looked into what I had to do to enter the contest. You had to make a video and remix the lyrics from ‘Boyfriend’ to ‘Girlfriend’ and add Hot 101 (radio station) in it 3 times! My friend and I remixed songs just for fun all the time so I thought this would be something fun for us! We got our lyrics down in a day and recorded audio for our video. The next day we spend forever thinking of the perfect video that would stick out from all the others. We finally got our idea and spent about 6 hours filming it and my friend edited it all and we entered it into the contest a day before the deadline ( x ). We showed all our friends and family the video and they all said we had a REALLY good chance at winning and to start planning on it now. That made me really excited because I didn’t LEGIT think we’d win this contest. Monday came, the day before the concert and they were going to call the winners. All day at school that’s all I could think about. IMMEDIATELY after school I went over to my friends house since it’s right across the street and we waited, hoping to get a phone call and we were nervous like crazy. All of a sudden the phone rang, I grabbed for the phone and said “OMG HELLO?” On the other line I hear, “Hello this is Hot 101!” and I freaked out and handed the phone to my friend since she entered the video under her name. They called to tell us we were in the top 3, but you had to have an adult attend the show and we kinda broke the rules. We started freaking out and gave the phone to her mom and she explained to them how her and I have been to many concerts before and how she will wait at the door for us, etc. They said they would call the record label and see if that was allowed. After that I was on the verge of tears knowing we were in the top 3. About 15 minutes later they called back and my friend answered the phone and it was the radio station! They asked her a few questions like why she should win and stuff and all of a sudden I could hear the person on the phone say, “Okay, you and a friend will be meeting JUSTIN BIEBER!” I was speechless. My friend thanked them 1000x and handed the phone off to her mom to give them our info. The next day at school we left early and had to travel 2 hours to Pittsburgh, PA . I couldn’t believe anything that was happening the whole car ride. I was really meeting him. On the way over, my dad called to tell me we were the top story, first thing you see when you went onto the local news papers website! They had written an article on how we won. A few hours later we arrived at the Consol Energy center, got our wristbands, and waited about an hour and a half before they got us lined up. Before we met Justin, we all agreed that we would try and take a funny picture with Justin. It was our turn next and I just remembered the curtain opening and there he was, standing right there. I stared right at his face and I couldn’t believe it was him. As soon as I walked in all I could get out of me was, “OH MY GOD,” and I rushed to his side so I could stand next to him. Then I realized THE JUSTIN BIEBER and I had our hands around each other’s waist. At last minute I remembered to stick my tongue out and then we got shoved out. I couldn’t believe what just happened. I asked my friend and the other two girls if they made a face and they said, “OH NO! I totally forgot!” I realized I forgot to ask him to make a face so I just laughed at how the picture was going to turn out with me and my tongue sticking out! I started shaking really bad and as soon as I walked out. It was time for the concert and we had nose bleed sections but I was still excited cause this was my first Justin concert! And as me, knowing very limited amount of songs and have never been his #1 fan, that concert was the BEST CONCERT OF MY LIFE. I will NEVER forget this experience and I will always be so grateful that I got the opportunity to meet such an amazing guy. Don’t ever give up on meeting Justin. If even I got to meet Justin, I promise you that you’ll get to meet him too. -@Jorrdi_Bear
